Father James Tingerthal OSB
Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Father James entered the monastery in 1955 and was ordained in 1961. Known in the community as a handyman and craftsman, he has polished those skills working
in Saint John's Abbey Woodworking. He has held a variety of administrative posts including Head of School at the Preparatory School and University Events Coordinator. Most recently he was Visiting Administrator at the Benedictine Abbey of Saint Leo in Florida.
