Father Kieran Nolan OSB
Born and raised in New York City, Father Kieran professed monastic vows on July 11, 1954. He became a priest on September 19, 1959.
Father Kieran wrote and defended in German his doctoral thesis at Tübingen University. Prof. Dr. Fr. K. Nolan OSB served Saint John's School of Theology as teacher or administrator for many years.
He joined our Trinity Benedictine Monastery, Japan, and served the brothers there for a term as Prior. He publishes the monastery's Newsletter and fulfills a variety of pastoral roles fostering Trinity's ministry in Japan.
Fr. Kieran's leprechaun appearance and "proud to be Irish" wit seem to be serving him well in Japan.
