Brother Paul-Vincent Niebauer OSB
Brother Paul Vincent (second from left) hails from Phillips, Wisconsin. Before entering John's Abbey in 1995, he spent 13 years as a circus performer and ringmaster. He serves as the Abbey's Vocations Director and finds time to direct plays and musicals for the Saint John's Preparatory School.
Br. Paul Vincent also directs a Circus Summer Camp for high school students under a recently-acquired "big top." Here he helps his students develop their performance skills in the context of the fun of juggling, stilt-walking and the grease paint of clowns.
Brother Paul Vincent occasionally entertains his confreres with his juggling and fire-eating and, in some ways, he is ever the clown.
