Two monks will make Solemn Profession
Fr. Nickolas Becker and Br. Dan Morgan will make their solemn profession on July ll, during the 10:30 AM
Festive Mass.
Father Nickolas Becker, OSB
Born in Britt, Iowa; professed 14 September 2007
Nickolas, 34, received his undergraduate degree in history from the University of Notre Dame. He earned graduate degrees in theology at Saint Meinrad School of Theology and was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Sioux City in 2002. He served for four years as a parish priest in the diocese. In addition, from 2004-2006, he was an adjunct instructor in the Department of Theology at Briar Cliff University. Nickolas came to Saint John's Abbey in 2006. Since first profession, his work has included teaching in the Department of Theology, Campus Ministry, and language studies in preparation for further graduate work.
Brother Daniel Morgan, OSB
Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, 20 August, 1980; professed 14 September 2007.
Bro. Dan is a graduate of Saint John's University.
