Oblate Meetings
Annual Oblate Retreat, 10-12 July 2009
"Hildegard of Bingen as Guide for Benedictine Living" This retreat, directed by Dewey Weiss Kramer PhD, focuses on three areas of Benedictine life which Hildegard's prose, music, and visual art address. We will use alll three of these media for meditation on the topics, and the Rule will hover in the
background. Oblate Dewey Kramer has frequently directed weekend and Benedictine community retreats with Hildegard as guide.
She was a founding editor of The Merton Annual and is author of Open to the Spirit, the history of Holy Spirit Monastery, Conyers, GA.

Oblates gather whenever possible in small groups to study, pray, serve others or just share time in common. Visit a group near you, or contact the Oblate Office at Saint John's Abbey for more information.
